Thanks for checking out these projects. I wanted to make creative work inspired by conversations with friends, mental health, humor, storytelling, and the communities I come from.
This project was inspired by conversations I’ve had while doing workshops with young adults and school communities, where people joke about wanting to do well in school while also feeling pressure to maintain a certain image or persona. “Hooligans and Scholars” is a reminder that you do not have to abandon where you come from, how you grew up, or who you are in order to learn, grow, or take yourself seriously. You can be both.
This one was also inspired by a conversation with my homie Brian.
